Frosty Training
After characters trigger a total of 10 Frozen reactions on opponents, a number of temporary "Regimen Buffs" will appear on the field. After a character picks up one of these Regimen Buffs, when their next Normal Attack hits an opponent, a shockwave will be unleashed at the opponent's position, dealing True DMG to nearby opponents.

To ace each Regimen challenge, you'll want to build your team around the suggested Elemental Reaction Theme, all while strategizing against the enemies you'll encounter. Every stage offers a Stage Focus and a Stage Quest you can tackle to earn a Stage Reward buff. Plus, there are Primary and Bonus objectives that grant extra Frenzy Stars when completed.
Imagine the challenge theme is Freeze, meaning your team needs Hydro and Cryo characters. To get the Regimen Buff, your team must trigger 10 Freeze reactions. Once available, these buffs appear on the field, ready to be picked up, and will supercharge your Normal Attacks! The quicker you clear out the enemies, the more coins you'll rake in.
Bringing a character that clashes with the theme pretty much ruins the elemental reactions, and that means the Regimen Buff might not pop up fast enough, or you could miss out on it entirely.
And that's what makes people turn on rage on Twitter. That's and the fact that people might not read (or in this case see) the elemental reaction theme on the top left window before we choose our characters.
The Character Building Chasm
While it can definitely be a bit frustrating in the moment, I've really come to understand that not everyone has the luxury of a fully-built roster for every elemental need. Building characters in this game is a massive time sink, and many players are genuinely just working with what they've got, or slowly progressing through their builds. Don't even get me started on artifacts – the RNG involved means you have to invest so much time and resin, which is a huge commitment.
Weapon Woes & The Endless List
And the challenges don't stop with characters and artifacts! Let's not forget about weapons. The materials needed to level them up are locked behind specific domain days, except for Sundays when everything's open. But, you guessed it, that still costs resin. We need that precious resin to "pay" for all those essential weapon ascension materials. And that's if we already have the matching weapon for our character! What if we don't have one? The list of things we have to do just keeps getting longer and longer.
Understanding the Grind & Real Life
So, why does all this character building feel like such an uphill battle for many? Well, it's easy to forget that a lot of people are casual players. Maybe they only get to log in two or three days a week, or perhaps they're just doing dailies when they do get on. Real life happens, right? People have jobs, school, family, and other commitments that make it hard to keep up. Because of that, they might fall behind on opportunities to level up their characters or their talents, making the endless grind for perfect builds even more daunting.
So yeah, while co-op can definitely throw some curveballs, and it's easy to get a little frustrated, I really hope we can all remember to extend some grace to our fellow travelers. Whether they're still building their dream team, wrestling with artifact RNG, or just squeezing in playtime between real-life commitments, everyone's journey is unique. Let's foster a more understanding and chill co-op environment, because at the end of the day, we're all here to have fun and enjoy the game together!
Because a party is a fun one until it's not. Cheers!
